Your Treatment Journey

  • Downtime after Microdermabrasion is minimal, but you may experience slight redness or mild flaking for 1–3 days depending on your skin’s sensitivity.
  • No natural sun exposure, use of tanning beds, for at least 72 hours before treatment.
  • Discontinue products containing any exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents, etc.) 72 hours before treatment.
  • Inform your aesthetician if you’ve taken Accutane in the last 12 months.
  • Inform your aesthetician if you are on any Steroid medications (topical or oral) or any antibiotics.
  • If you have a history of cold sores, we highly recommend a course of anti-viral medication pre and post treatment. This will prevent an outbreak of cold sores if you are prone of them.
  • The session typically lasts 45 minutes.
  • Your provider will thoroughly cleanse your skin before gently exfoliating with the microdermabrasion device.
  • The treatment is comfortable and non-invasive, often described as a light suction or polishing sensation.
  • Follow the recommended skincare routine listed under our treatment instructions.
  • Redness and mild sensitivity are normal and usually subside within a few hours.
  • Avoid sun exposure for at least 48 hours post-treatment and apply a broad-spectrum SPF daily.
  • No use of active ingredients, exfoliants, or electric facial exfoliation brushes (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, or exfoliants) for 2–3 days.
  • No exercise, excess sweating, steam rooms, saunas, hot showers, or hot tubs for minimum 48 hours.
  • Do not pick or exfoliate any flaking skin—let it shed naturally.
  • Makeup can be worn after any initial redness subsides (typically within 24 hours).
