Treatment Care

Proper care is key to getting the best results from your SplendorX Vascular treatment. How you prepare your skin before, support it during, and protect it afterward can make all the difference in comfort, safety, and long-term results.

Pre Treatment Instructions

Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 4 weeks; use SPF 30+ daily
Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotion, or fragrance
Stop retinoids and exfoliating products 1 week before treatment
No self-tanners for 2 weeks prior
Start antiviral meds if prone to cold sores (as prescribed)
Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E 1 week before (unless directed otherwise)
No Botox or fillers in the area for 2 weeks prior
Do not use Accutane for 1 year before treatment
If treating leg veins, have compression stockings ready

Treatment Expectations

Session length depends on the size and number of vascular lesions—small spots may take just a few minutes, while larger or multiple areas may take up to an hour
Your provider begins with a consultation to review your concerns and create a personalized treatment plan
The skin is cleansed and sanitized before treatment begins
The SplendorX handpiece delivers precise laser energy to target visible veins, redness, or broken capillaries
Cooling technology keeps skin comfortable throughout the session, making treatments low to no pain
After treatment, your provider will review post-care instructions and schedule any recommended follow-up sessions

Post Treatment Instructions

Avoid direct sunlight and use SPF 30+ as directed for daily incidental sun exposure
Avoid the use of deodorants or fragrance on treated areas as long as the skin is sensitive or fragile
Avoid any activity that would increase blood flow to the treated area (vigorous activity, sauna, running, or walking) in the first 24 hours
Mineral makeup may be applied the following day
Use hydrating, moisturizing topicals
Compression hose/leggings/socks are optional

Follow-Up Treatment

• An average of 2-5 sessions are required• Session intervals are 6-8 weeks apart, but longer waiting time is not prejudicial to the outcome• In the event of prolonged ongoing healing, remaining erythema/edema, or residual side effects, postpone any subsequent session until full clearance• On skin of color, it is recommended to observe longer session intervals to lessen incidence of PIH• Allow at least 2 months to evaluate the final clinical outcome of vascular reduction
