HALO laser treatment works by emitting hybrid fractional lasers onto the skin’s surface. A healing response in your skin starts to occur, boosting collagen and elastin.. It’s called a “hybrid” fractional laser because the device contains two different laser wavelengths.
This dual-wavelength laser works on two levels: regenerating skin from deep below the surface (dermis) as well as renewal of layers closer to the surface (epidermis).
You will first consult with one of our certified aestheticians to ensure Halo® is the right treatment for you. Proceeding with treatment, you will receive our instructions for prepping the skin before treatment. The treatment begins with topical numbing cream that is applied to your skin, with a numbing time of about one hour. The numbing allows you to avoid any discomfort, although it is normal to feel heat or a pinching sensation as the lasers do their job. The handheld device is rolled gently across the treatment area. Depending on the size of the area we’re treating, it may take at least 30 minutes or longer to complete the session. Depending on the condition of your skin, your aesthetician will determine the number of treatments that are need to achieve your desired result.
